“Local Action Group (LAG) Tskaltubo” is an open civil platform that functions as an independent, impartial and democratic non-partial and non-political body, which can include any individual living in Tskaltubo municipality, regardless their political affiliation. All of the members of the platform have a right to be involved in management of the body and be informed about its activities.

LAG Tskaltubo will develop a long-term Local Development Strategy based on the needs and potential identified by the municipality-wide base-line study.

Based on the strategy document, the grant competition requirements will be elaborated and projects will be announced.

LAG Tskaltubo implements LEADER approach, which ensures transparency of its activities and cooperation of civic, private and public sectors for municipality development.

LAG Tskaltubo decision-making body is the General Assembly, which currently comprises 230 members. Members work in 4 thematic subgroups:

  1. Agriculture
  2. Tourism
  3. Social Issues 
  4. Culture, Education, Sport and Youth

Local Action Group (LAG) Tskaltubo project is implemented by People In Need (PIN), funded by European Union (EU) and Czech Development Agency (CDA) and in partnership with Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA).
